The trimming .

 The Parijata tree about which I have written earlier in my blog was trimmed today. It seemed to droop on a car over which the parijata flowers would gently drop .The mali had cut many huge branches of he tree & laid them on the walkway behind the building. As I was walking on the path behind the building,  I asked the mali if the branches can be planted .No, I had no huge garden of parijata trees in mind. Just wanted to know if the branches can regrow into a shrub. He said that this shrub requires roots to grow & the branches would not serve the purpose. And he added, it will grow new shoots & become much larger & better. Its shade would get wider .And more flowers than ever would bloom.

He said I can collect seeds & plant .He said that seeds must be planted in vertical position  .He said , the shrub needed pruning as it had become too heavy & was stooping too much. So much so, that it might have touched the car roof .And obviously, the car cannot be removed from there as its a parking space for the car.And it is paid parking space.

We all need pruning & trimming. Because , sometimes we get  so overwhelmed with emotions that it gets   too much for our own good .We may feel claustrophobic & maybe, others feel that we are trying to gag   them .So a little pruning ,now & then  along way. It makes us lighter & better. And our near & dear ones feel free off the ties that have become shackles .And then we expand further & this gives more space for ideas of others to be accepted .We become more receptive as we age as we realise that there can be more than one side to a story, an idea , a topic, etc. And each person has their own perspective to anything & everything.And that, we can all co exist,by agreeing to disagree .And yes, diverse views can make this world an enriching experience which is joyous  & peaceful  !
