Muggulu

Rangolis or muggulu (  Telegu for Rangoli ) are drawn to welcome atithi into homes.

Atithi devo bhava !

Rangoli

The  semi circular Sun pattern is borrowed from a painted rangoli ,I had seen at a marriage.

Raangoli

Again ,I have been inspired by a pattern I glanced on a visit to a home.Obviously,I am forgetful & hence this rangoli has a uniqueness of its own.

Raangolya

I have tried to draw the swastika as a base & then woven a design around.

Rangolis drawn today.

Today being Friday,I perform Shri Lakshmi Puja .I draw fresh rangolis on two platforms -one below the other. They are in my kitchen. Both platforms are of cudappah stones.

I try to keep basic pattern same for the two rangolis .Then ,I change the outer design. It all depends on what just comes to mind & my hands move accordingly.
